Our Environmental Initiatives & Plan
Shaping a Sustainable Future for Caravan & Camping
As industry leaders, we believe it is of the utmost importance to demonstrate a proactive approach to environmental sustainability. We encourage our Members to follow our actions where appropriate and brainstorm other measures that may fit their unique business models. Our industry is based on a passion for exploring the great outdoors, and for this reason, we believe protecting our environment should be a priority of all our Members.
Association Actions
Our commitment to positive environmental actions starts in our office. We have estimated our carbon footprint via Carbonhalo’s Climate Action Program, and created a plan to reduce our emissions by the year 2030. Some of the actions in our plan include a hybrid working model to reduce emissions related to employee commutes, utilising renewable energy, and holding more web-based meetings and workshops.
To further embrace our sunny Perth climate, we have installed solar panels to power our office and warehouse, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.

Turning Our Commitment Into Action
Perth and Busselton Caravan & Camping Shows
You may have noticed some small changes at our events, which lead to big climate-positive action!
E-Tickets
We have transitioned to 100% electronic tickets for the Perth and Busselton Caravan & Camping Shows, which in turn reduces the amount of waste produced by our events.
Waste Management
Any waste produced at our events is meticulously managed through comprehensive waste management plans, which include education and recycling. We have introduced Containers for Change, so if you attend one of our events, please be sure to put your eligible bottles or cans into our Container for Change bins! At our recent Perth Show, we are pleased to report that 10,000 cans and bottles were saved from landfill! $944 was collected for Scouts WA Recycling and the Willagee-Kardinya Rover Crew.
Re-Usable Cups & Bottles
We actively encourage all exhibitors and event attendees to bring their reusable water bottle and coffee keep cup to our events, as water refill stations are located throughout.
Transport
We encourage everyone attending our events to ride a bike, walk, or take public transport. You will find bus or train stops near our event sites, as well as bike racks.
Our eco-friendly electric courtesy golf buggies at the Perth Show are another initiative that helps people move around the event site whilst reducing our carbon footprint!
