Track Care started when a group of like-minded individuals came together and formed the Canning Stock Route Working Group in Nov 1996 with the purpose of preserving our state’s pioneering history along the Canning Stock Route. The group then changed name to Track Care WA with the first general meeting in May 1997 and AGM Sept 1997. A lot has changed since then, and over the years Track Care has continued to evolve into a champion of bush heritage and environmental conservation. We are still committed to the CSR, with regular maintenance and renovation work to over 15 wells and 13 toilets.
Our story has also seen successful protection of wetlands, restoring and maintaining station homesteads, cleaning up tracks, beaches and sand dunes, delivering bikes to children in the Pilbara, ongoing support to the Canning Stock Route, Nyangumarta Highway and the broader Rangelands initiatives.
Our ongoing success all comes down to our passionate volunteers, who encompass all walks and stages of life. We are an inclusive organisation, and we welcome anyone who are keen to participate.
