Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show / Fitzgerald Coast

The Shire of Ravensthorpe, rich in farming and mining history, is renowned for its abundance of flora and fauna, pristine beaches, rugged ranges and stunning scenery. Located within the UNESCO-listed Fitzgerald Biosphere, the region is a biodiversity hotspot and gateway to the world class Fitzgerald River National Park, which hosts some 1800 different plant species showcases itself along a wild coastline and unspoiled wilderness.

The National Park features surfaced coastal roads, interpretive displays, walk trails and spectacular lookouts and pre-booked camping facilities and is just a short 10 minute drive from Hopetoun’s town centre.

As a tribute to the unique biodiversity and natural beauty of the region, an energetic band of volunteers goes forth into the bush to seek elusive specimens so many wildflowers can be viewed at the show as well as seen in their natural environment.

For the interest and enjoyment of visitors, a program of events is released mid-year with activities throughout the festival as diverse as the flowers, offering visitors an action-packed time in Ravensthorpe & Hopetoun with its welcoming and vibrant community.
