Fight The Bite: Mosquito Awareness

Together the City of Busselton and Shire of Capel are working to reduce mosquito borne disease in the community. Mosquitoes can pose a nuisance and serious health risk to the community by transmitting harmful viruses. In the South West of WA both Ross River and Barmah Forest Virus is active in the mosquito population at certain times. Local Governments are working to reduce mosquito numbers but it is unrealistic to rely on these programs alone.
