The Centre is located on York Street at the front of the Albany Public Library building, next to the newly refurbished Albany Town Hall. Open seven days a week the Centre provides to visitors:

As an accredited tourism business Albany Visitor Centre proudly displays the yellow “i “symbol. In 2019 the Visitor Centre received the Trip Advisor Excellence in Tourism Award for five years of consistently high ratings from travellers. The Albany Visitor Centre also won a silver medal for Top Tourism Town in 2019.
The Albany Visitor Centre is owned and run by the City of Albany. The contribution to tourism from the City of Albany and the Albany Visitor Centre was recognised in 2018 with the City of Albany being inducted into the Western Australian Airport Awards Hall of Fame for Excellence in Local Government Tourism
